Wyatt’s Nursery

From the time I was only a couple months pregnant, my husband and I knew we were having a son. I all of a sudden had ZERO inspiration for girl anything. Chris had this name for a girl that he just loves and I had agreed to in the past, but I remember telling that I just know that, that’s not this baby’s name.

About six weeks before we got the official word it was a boy, we immediately agreed and decided that the Lumberjack/Mountain theme would be perfect. I had even gone to Hobby Lobby and saw some decor about a week later. It had to be a sign, right? lol. We figured we could always return it if we were having a girl. Good thing we didn’t have to!

More than just a theme, I wanted his room to be fun and comfortable. Somewhere we would all enjoy playing and hanging out in as he grows. Although these super simplistic, white and gray nurseries are very beautiful, I wonder how much time a toddler would really enjoy hanging out in them. I can’t wait for the day to see him sitting in his tee pee listening to him going on about whatever his imagination comes up.

If anyone is interested in the organization of the nursery or want to know where things are from, let me know and I can do a separate post.

Hi! Plaid stuff was a little all over. KMart had a bunch of stuff.
I found most of my plaid items over the holidays when that print was really popular for winter. Hopefully this winter they will bring it back.
The lamp is from a store called Land of Nod. It can be expensive, but I waited until they had a sale.

My daughter and I were looking on Pinterest and ran across one of your pictures of the nursery. We laughed because you had named your son the same and she is going to name her son when she has him about October 6. Even funnier is the fact that she too wanted to decorate her nursery the same theme. We were wondering where you purchased your bedding. If you care to share, we’d love to know. Best you and your son, Wyatt.

      Hi Bambi!
Really? That’s awesome! Your daughter has good taste 🙂
I had my bedding made from a local guy named “The Baby Guy”. I did purchase all the fabric from a fabric site called “Spoonflower” and had The Baby Guy sew it for me.

Can you tell me where you bought the adventure sign, the Blanket bin and then the wood trey that is on the dresser?

Hi there! Just came across your blog on pinterest and was wondering where you got the side table or how you made it and what line the nursery furniture was? Everything looks so wonderful together!

Hello! Thank you so much for the compliment. The side table is from Kirklands, but I have seen the style floating around. They may have something similar on Wayfair if you can’t find it on Kirkland’s website. The dresser and crib is from Buy Buy Baby, but Target has a crib and dresser just about identical. Target’s dresser is a little smaller though.

This is exactly the nursery I want – I love how it came out! I registered for the same furniture and have been eyeing this fabric on spoonflower, I just don’t know where to have the bedding made. Could you share the information for the “baby guy”?

Love your nursey! I’m doing something very similar for my son all based on that plaid bear picture from Hobby Lobby. I was curious where you found your hamper basket?
